Artist's Description

"SPIDERWORT" by James Barber

The Spiderwort wildflower, sometimes known as the Spider-lily, Oyster-plant, or Flowering inch plant, is commonly found in wooded areas and field, both individually and in clumps. Some of the species open the flowers in the morning and close when the sun shines on the flower later in the day. This photo was captured at sunrise when the early morning dew was still heavy on the flowers at the Cherokee Prairie Natural Area in Arkansas.
